Recently ‘Bikes That Fold’ visited Berlin, the capital of Germany. The greater metropolis area of Berlin is inhabited by more than 5 million people. With a population of this size, we expected to find bikes go lore. Even more importantly, we expected to find an abundance of folding bikes on the streets of Berlin. To our surprise and demise, folding bikes were few and far between. However what we saw we photographed and are now sharing with our readers.

You may well ask, why so few folders? Firstly, we are not scientist; our findings are loosely based on a four day flying visit. Anyhow, why would you need a folder in Berlin? The public transport system goes everywhere, is cheap and easy to use.

Maybe it was just the time of our visit. Being the holiday season, perhaps everyone was at home shining their folders squeaky clean for another year of use. I have a sneaking suspicious that there are many more folding bikes, after all Germany is the home of Birdy USA
