A pair of folding pedals will reduce the folded size of your folding bike. An essential item for the daily commuter who needs to navigate the bus and train system with minimum fuss. Union Folding Pedals: Robust folding pedal, ideal for most folding bikes. Made by Union with an alloy body and strong resin cage. Easy but positive folding action. Pedals come with standard 9/16" thread to suit most bikes. Retailing at £8.99 in UK and $17.99 in US.
Pyramid Folding Pedals: Standard 9/16" Folding Pedals that come with an non-slip surface which is safer for wet weather riding. Approximately retailing at £11.50 in UK and $22.95 in US.
Santour Folding Pedals: Sturdy folding pedal allowing you to shave inches off the width of your folded bike. Weighting 512 gms/pair and compatible with the standard 9/16-inch thread. Available in US for approximately $32.97 and UK for £17.
ProLite Folding Pedals: Light, strong and a snap to use. To unfold these pedals, all you need to do is to step on the pedal body. Made out of light weight aluminum alloy, the ProLite pedals are over 100g lighter than the Suntour pedals. Available in US for approximately $38 and in the UK for £19.
Montague Folding Pedals: Pedals reduce the width of the folded bike by 4 inches. While not ideal for high performance riding, they do serve a purpose for those with tight space constraints. Available in US for approximately $29.95 and in the UK for £15.
MKS FD-2 Folding Alloy Pedals: When the pedal is folded, it only protrudes 61 mm from the side of the crank. Will take toe clips, but not slotted for straps. Width from arm is 105 mm and Weight is 606 grams/pair. Available in US for approximately $49.95 and UK for £25.
MKS FD-3 Folding Resin Pedals: When the pedal is folded, it only protrudes 59 mm from the side of the crank. Will not take toe clips. Weighted to keep the platform upright. Width from arm is 110 mm and Weight is 489 grams/pair. Available in US for approximately $39.95 and UK for £21.
MKS FD-6 Folding Alloy Pedals When the pedal is folded, it only protrudes 43 mm from the side of the crank. Will not take toe clips. Width from arm is105 mm and Weight is 400 grams/pair. Available in US for approximately $49.95 and retail in Evans Cycles in UK for £24.99.
BROMPTON Folding Pedal (Left): Ingenious folding pedal now standard on all Brompton bikes apart from the basic C-type model. The folding pedal folds away at a touch, and when folded all that projects is the 20 mm width of the bearing housing.
