Recently, I was in the market for a bike that folded, rode well, was relatively light and have the ability to handle the toughest of terrain. After trawling the web and visiting forums, I decided on the Montague Hummer. The bike arrived safely by courier last month. Since then I have taken it on a number of outings both off road and on road and can testify it meets all of my expectations. The Hummer is a bike build for the modern day city dweller. The bike folds up and fits into the truck or booth of a standard family sized car saving time and effort of attaching a rack. All this means more time on the treks and mountains. On the mountains, it offers all the advantages of a rigid hard tail.
Montague partnered with General Motors to design and manufacture the HUMMER Tactical Mountain Bike. This bike is a version of their military bike that folds to fit in the back of the new H2. The original military bike was build for a Paratrooper exiting from a military aircraft. Some of the vital statistics include a frame sizes of both 18” or 20”. A folded size of 36” x 28” x 12” and a weight of 30 lbs. The approximate retail is $649(£695)(€810). Some Retailers: |
